More BBC QuickTime stream notes

updated 03:31 am EST, Tue December 19, 2000

Following yesterday's note, Larry Duffy provided some more information on BBC's QuickTime stream: "BBC World increased resolution from 160 x 120 to 320 x 240 and upped their bit rate from 80kbs to 240kbs more or less BUT they changed from Sorenson codec to H.263 and that, in my opinion, was a mistake. Now we see ghosting which is common using H.263 on a lossy (internet) network. Bad chioce but overall I do like the change."
