TC Works has updated its realtime audio editing and authoring applications, SparkLE 2.5 and the new SparkLE Plus 2.5, adding a new convenient browser view, easy access to the Project Database, performance improvements, and a single-window interface.

SparkLE is compatible with both OS X and Mac OS 9 and includes a Plug-In bundle featuring a mastering quality Audio Maximizer, a flexible Tempo Delay and a One Band EQ with selectable equalization types from Notch to Parametric and a Master window with high resolution metering. Additionally, it provides a realtime VST FX Chain with the ability to load 4 VST Plug-Ins.

SparkLE Plus offers all the features of SparkLE and adds a number of powerful tools, including full QuickTime support and an extra plug-in (Native PerformanceVerb), and full MP3 encoding using the original Fraunhofer Codec.

SparkLE Plus and SparkLE feature significantly enhanced editing and improved file navigation. Projects with multiple audio files open up to ten times faster. All major audio file formats are supported--from AIFF to WAV and SDII to all available QuickTime codecs. Sample rates of up to 192kHz with bit depths up to 32-bit offers higher than DVD quality. The realtime sample rate conversion enables audio playback and editing of such high resolution files without optional professional audio hardware.

SparkLE is $20, while SparkLE Plus is $50. Upgrades from SparkLE 2.1 to the plus version are $20.
