Apple Mac.com Web mail has reached Beta II, according to many MacNN readers. The second test version of Apple's Web-based email service offers several new features, including better navigation, better folder/message management and better ease of use.

    Pretty cool.

It's great that Apple is providing this feature for Mac users. It's much better than either Yahoo or HotMail accounts and ad free to boot.

    Hmm...

I can't help but wonder how much longer this service will remain FREE? I don't believe Apple ever promised it would remain free forever...

    please stay free

I hope that it stays free the option to upgrade to a more featured pay service. Otherwise I'd just use the email I get with my ISP...but I really don't want the word "Cox" in my email addy.

    15 Minutes of Fame

Woo-hoo! My name in lights on the front page of macnn.com! I'm world famous! BWAH HAH HAH!

But on a related note, I do appreciate this service and use it frequently. There's a reason the people who love Apple do so so fervently.

    Buy more space

I, for one, would love the opportunity to be able to buy more e-mail/iDisk space from Apple -- like Hotmail offers (damn MS) for $20/year, but without the coercive backstabbing license agreements Hotmail has where they kill your account periodically ...

OK ...I'm degenerating into a rant here. Point is that I'd rather give Apple money for my cool mac.com address than pay Hotmail for anything.

    gladly pay

Best free email service I've ever had and would gladly pay $9.95 or $14.95 a year for it. Spam free (I know it's controversial) and I love it. Props to Apple for a kickass service!

    iDisk space doesn't appl

I knew I had a point in there about iDisk. :) Yeah, the iDisk space doesn't apply to e-mail space. I think you're limited to 5 MB of POP space no matter what. (No large attachments, et cetera.)
