Some of the animation in Star Wars Episode II was done on Macs: "We do have some talented artists like Billy Brooks who worked on the R2D2 shots using MacIntosh. It looks the same."

    slightly OT: MacIntosh

I don't know why some people insist on misspelling or in this case capping the 'i' in Macintosh...there never was a capital 'i' nor will there ever be a capital 'i'. IMO it shows an ignorance toward Apple and its products...spelling it this way for other people to read is just spreading ignorance.

For some reason that really bugs me...if you couldn't tell =)

    RE: MacIntosh

Oh yeah...BTW MacIntosh is a high-end audio component maker. As ignorant and confused as many people are these days, the two companies could potentially be misconstrued as being one and the same. Keeping them separate by leaving the spelling/capping the way Apple intended it is important in helping maintain brand identity.

Okay, I'm off my soapbox now =)

    I don't get the..

Last sentence "It looks the same". What does that mean? That this Billy guy was allowed to use a mac because the end result 'looks the same'?

    Bunch of nerds

Alright, keep picking on the spelling...you guys are really nice, and cool. Anyway. I like the fact that they used Macs. Maybe I'll just make my own SWII at home using iMovies. And mine will be better than Lucas' version. Let the force be with you Lucas. :P

    Still mis-spelled

The audio amplifier is McIntosh, not MacIntosh

    Capitalizing

People insist on capitilizing it because that is how most scottish names are spelled, so they assume it I guess (MacDougal, McGuinness, etc. etc.).

    Ani Software list...

Let's get to the point people......I am reading this article because I want to know what software on the Mac does LucasFilms use... Is it Lightwave, Maya, or what???? Are they on Mac OSX? How does it work for them and why did they choose that format to work with their super-workstations.......that is what I want to know, not who mispelled what, and what audio speaker manufacturer has the same name..... Are you a bunch of 'kids' posting this..or burnt hippies?
