DigiTimes reports that Quanta Computer will start producing 17- and 19-inch iMacs in the third quarter of this year, noting stronger ties between Apple and Quanta: "[Quanta] shipped 235,000 units to Apple in the first quarter, and despite TFT LCD supply crunches in April that halted production for a week, analysts predict second-quarter shipments could grow to 350,000 units."

    But CRT or LCD?

They COULD very well be new designs incorporating larger CRTs... ?

    Old news

I'm not freaked out about it, but I agree with the first poster - stuff a week old is not news. At least it's not as bad as when MacNN reported Apple was shipping the low end eMac to education individuals almost one month after Apple announced their intention to do so.

    And one more thing

There is no way in h*** Apple will make a 19 inch LCD iMac. They could, but it wouldn't make it to market.
