Apple wins three D&AD and Plastics awards

Apple CEO Steve Jobs yesterday accepted three Design and Art Direction awards at the group's gala 40th birthday ceremony at Earl’s Court’s Olympia, including a Gold award for Apple's iPod and Silver Awards for the iBook and PowerBook G4 Titanium took Silver awards, according to Macworld UK. Apple was also awarded the Consumer Product Design of the Year by the plastics industry for a combined package of the Power Mac G4, Pro Mouse, and Cinema Display.

While it's cool that Apple's still getting recognition for their designs, that Consumer Product Design award is kinda silly - isn't the mouse the only *new* design feature to come out this year? The G3/G4 design has been around for a while, as has the CInema Display...
