Lemke Software has released Graphic Converter 4.4, an update to the popular $30 graphics utility, which adds long filename support in open/save of images, URL import from psd files, an option to save files with original date, JEDMICS C4 import, a date/time stamp, TIFF import with zip compression, and enables TWAIN aquire under OS X.     You can't use driverless hardware without some kind of driver. TWAIN is just a method for importing from scanner and digital camera interfaces. It doesn't actually enable the device to function...

    New GC with TWAIN acquire

    Great to hear that GC now works with the beta OS X driver Canon put out for the CanoScan N1240U. Up to now, I've been importing into Word v.X since I don't have PhotoShop 7. This is great news.

    OK With Epson 1200

    Works with the Twain driver with my Epson 1200 as well using twain acquire.
