Kaleidoscope 2.3 posted

updated 09:30 pm EST, Thu December 14, 2000

Kaleidoscope 2.3 adds the enhancement of the appearance of menus, allowing for transparency and 8-bit masks in schemes that support them. This enables menus to feature translucent drop shadows, for example. The new version also fixes issues with Quark XPress, Sherlock 2, BBEdit, Text-Edit ,and DropDrawers.

    2.3 seems slower

I did downlaod and install v 2.3 and screen redraw seems quite a bit slower than the last version. Anyone experience the same affect. I tried PowerWindows but that was really slow. I am running that AQUA scheme that Apple yanked.

    2.3 seems the same

Screen redraws are fast here but I don't see any new things! I know it allows for transparency but you think they would give us a transparent Scheme to play with! I'm running Desaturation Aqua scheme.
