Sharp intros new flat panel LCDs

Sharp's new 18" flagship LCD monitor is the first commercail LCD panel capable of displaying over 1 billion colors. The LL-T1820 is an 18-inch LCD monitor that has super-wide display angles of 170 degrees, dual DVI inputs, an integrated USB hub, a tilt/swivel stand, 1280x1024 resolution, and the ability to pivot to portrait mode. It is available now in black or white for $1,300. The 18" "value" LL-T1803 offers a 220 nit brightness, 400:1 contrast ratio, and analog or digital (DVI) inputs for $950 (due in May). Sharp also introduced 15" LL-T1520 with an integrated pair of speakers, 1024x768 resolution support, and integrated USB Hub, and Standard/Tilt & Swivel base. It is available in white or black for $500. The $430 LL-T15G1 due next month has high brightness (260 nits) and high contrast ratio (350:1) as well as features a backlight with very low power consumption (29 watts).
