c|net offers insight into the cross-examination of Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates during this morning's court hearing in the ongoing Microsoft antitrust case. Gates admitted that some of the proposed restrictions on the software giant would have prevented Microsoft from threatening to cease development of Mac Office if Apple Computer had not installed Internet Explorer on new computers.

    Seems to me that Gates has the right to make whatever software he wants for third parties. If he wants to tie it to a deal for IE, isn't that his right? After all, MS isn't accused of being a "monopolist" (snort) on the Mac platform.

    Most Apple employees hate Bill Gates with a passion and would like nothing more than to stab his eyes out with cell phone antennas. They wouldn't work for Bill Gates so I don't know what exactly he'd be buying.

    However, your admiration of Bill Gates' money strikes me as an indicator that you'd sell your own mother as a concubine.
