HP yesterday introduced three new business inkjet printers: The HP Business Inkjet 2230, 2280 and 2280tn printers offer the high-print quality, high-volume capacity (up to 10,000 pages per month) and robust networking functions via an optional EIO printer server. The updated printer line offers a faster processor, double the memory and a new normal speed-optimized print mode. Features include 7.5 ppm color/11 ppm monochrome printing, 1200 x 600 dpi resolution, four-color output, and networking functions for workgroup connectivity. The HP 2230 ($400) is the base model; the HP 2280 ($600) includes an additional Nansa card with PCL5/PL3 emulation functions, and the 2280tn ($1000) has a Nansa card, an EIO print server and second tray. (These require the EIO internal print server for Mac compatibility.)
