    Dumb

The government is a lot dumber than I thought if they're going to trust Microsoft with a task like that...

    How about XNS

I'd rather see XNS used as an online ID, since it's an open standard not controlled by one company. With XNS, you have control over who can access any of your information.

    THEY ARE NUTS !

The technology tzar should talk to the homeland security tzar. We might as well offer 747 guided tours to terrorists.

    Ah

Put a bunch of aging white guys in charge and this is what we get. Between Bush, Ridge and this guy, we're all screwed.

    What?

Yeah, this is a really stupid idea, but what does the fact that Bush and Ridge are white have to do with it.?

Ignorance, stupidity and greed are the factors involved here, not what color they are.

The fact that they are aging, and thus possibly not as 'hip' to technology as the younger crowds are might be an argument, but white? Ugh.

Anyway, how does a passport id like "bitchkilla" help the government id someone?
