Chicago Sun Times reviews G4 Cube

updated 04:45 pm EST, Wed December 13, 2000

The Chicago Sun Times has a positive review of the G4 Cube. "Three weeks with the Macintosh G4 Cube in my office, and I'm still blown away by its appearance. When paired with its companion Studio Display and clear keyboard and mouse, you've got the sort of computer you'd see in a commercial for breath mints."

    Its true

this weekend i went to a large electric superstore and saw my first Cube in the flesh, so to speak. Cube with the LCD monitor... ohmigod... it was like a computer from Y3K, amazing incredible perfect... though that package cost over 3 times what my new iMac cost! but if i win the lottery that Cube will be the first thing i buy!

    I feel the same!

I've had my 500Mhz Cube and 15 inch LCD monitor for 2 months now and I too am still blown away by it. It is everything I expected it to be and more....

    Duh!

Of course it's a positive review. The review is none other than Andy Inhatko, the biggest (no, not in that sense) Mac lover around. Not saying that's a bad thing, though.

    Love the cube

One item I enjoy about the cube is that it fits my need for a transportable computer. I relocate (not travel but relocate) a lot and so far I have been using a magneto optical drive backup and attaching it to a computer I buy locally. Having the Cube will be much more effective as I will not have to reinstall my large quantities of programs and files but simply take the box with me. Truly the computer for the global citizen. I hope that someone makes a traveling pack for it by the time I have to move again.
