4D has posted 4D v6.8, a Carbon version of its web-enabled cross-platform database development solution, after announcing its release earlier this week. It offers improved contextual menu support, better plug-in administration, more security options, an integrated TCP/IP component, and interface enhancements such as floating, dockable toolbars under OS X. It is a free update for v4.7 users.

    Wrong Version

The 4D v6.8 is a free update for v6.7 users, not for v4.7 users, as the news states.

    won't accept serial #

Have the non-profit (academic version) of 6.7.1. D/Led 6.8 via FTP, but it won't accept my serial number. Is the upgrade only for paying customers, or will they give our little theater a new S/N?
