PC companies may soon implement 'Freestyle' technology in new computers this holiday season that promise to offer better control over home entertainment devices. Features of the Windows XP technology include the ability to record TV programs -- much like stand-alone TiVo devices today. Although some analysts remain skeptical, companies like Sonicblue already offer similar technologies, and the PC-centered concept echoes Apple CEO Steve Jobs' own view of a "Digital Hub."
