Sorenson Media today announced the release of Squeeze for Macromedia Flash MX and Sorenson Squeeze for QuickTime for Mac OS 9.2 and OS X. The compression tool offers access to several advanced features of its new Sorenson Spark Professional video codec. It is packaged as an optional application for Macromedia Flash MX, offering enhanced videocompression capabilities for higher quality and smaller file size, as well as Two-Pass Variable Bit Rate (VBR), cropping and inverse telecine tools, multiple filters, and advanced editing features. Sorenson Squeeze for QuickTime includes the Sorenson Video 3 Professional codec and also supports One and Two-Pass VBR compression. Sorenson Squeeze for Macromedia Flash MX (includes Sorenson Spark Pro) and Sorenson Squeeze for QuickTime (includes Sorenson Video 3 Professional) will be available electronically later this week. Box copies will be available within 30 days. Each product is $300 and bundle of both products is $500.
