    That's nice but..

That's good but I'd rather see improvements to Internet Explorer in terms of speed, stability, and rendering bugs/delays.

Mind you I guess I can't complain too much, since IE is free.

    Well,

if Microsoft says it's modest, then it REALLY is modest. One old bug less, but 10 new ones added. I'm not holding my breath.

    Outlook, etc.

I;'m glad Apple is pressing the Exchange issue - it's very important for corporate Mac users.
As far as IE goes, it's still the best X browser, but others are omcing along and may change that.
So far, Office X has been good, and I expect it to improve with this update.
God people, giv ethe Mac BU the credit it deserves and quit alking outta your collective a$$e$.

    Internet Explorer, et al.

The Mac press really did a lackluster job of covering the Microsoft MBU press meeting.

One of the better articles was from PC World. That article revealed this nugget about IE.

Microsoft is also updating its IE browser for the Mac. "It's not the product we want it to be," Browne said. "We want to improve performance, implement a security infrastructure, and implement HTML and XML rendering." Developers are also redesigning the interface.

It's a great browser, and it's free to boot! Great job Microsoft. Bill Gates is a God!

Internet Explorer is a great browser.
    It is better than Cats.
I will see it again and again.

    Read between the lines

The article includes this revealing statement about the Office v.X update:

"...the free download will offer more than 1,000 bug fixes..."

And that about sums it up for the quality of Microsoft software. And these are just the 1,000 that they're admitting to or feel like fixing.
