TLA Systems has released DragThing 4.3, an update to the popular launcher utility for Classic and OS X. It offers a new dynamic "Disk Dock" which can display all your hard disks, removable media, and connected servers; can now use almost any key as a hot key on OS X to open application/documents, run AppleScripts, and open URLs; and offers a multi-lingual application with support for English, Japanese, German, French and Italian.

    1st POST, BOOH YEAH!!!

That looks very useful, but it may cry out for even more screen real estate than OSX already does. Starting to think 1280x1024 is the new functional minimum desk-top size, at least for OSX.

    Quite true

Even 1024x768 is no longer enough under OS X.

DragThing is probably so useful Apple should implement its functions in MacOS X. Don't tell me OS X is still in development. I know. But it doesn't prevent Apple from offering much more functionalities in OS X. Most of them being cosmetic (or so it seems). For instance, why can't we control-click on the desktop to change the desktop picture? It's been in MacOS Classic since OS 8. It's not that important, I agree, but it clearly shows how incomplete OS X is. Okay, I'll be patient.

It's great to see some programmers are still dedicated to bring new features to OS X. Many have quit since they no longer can create init apps like they did in MacOS Classic. Finderpop was great. Too bad it won't be available under OS X.
