New XML capabilities allow distribution information over multiple mediums, including print, the Web, PDF files, and PDAs. Version 7.0 also brings new templates; bundled software for creating HTML, Palm reader, and other handheld versions; and support for SVG, Adobe's XMP (Extensible Metadata Platform) and WebDav (World Wide Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning). Both desktop and server versions are due in the second quarterfor $800 and $8,000 respectively. Upgrades to the desktop version are $210 (for 90 days and $350 thereafter). [editor's note: c|net incorrectly reported the Server version will be available for the Mac]
