    Wow

Another $1000 for an Add on to Final Cut Pro....but I guess that is Chicken Feed compared to what you used to spend on equipment and software to do it before

    I wouldn't worry about i

    Indeed.

If you truly have the need to cut 24 frame work, believe me, $999 is gonna be one of the least of your concerns.

Everybody else should be glad that Apple is taking this sort of thing seriously.

    Obviously, ...

Whoever at Apple is in charge of this relentless Apple attack on the pro-video market should teach the other execs how to do the same thing. If all of Apple was this kick a** in their market segment, Apple would just be awesome.

    drunk?

Is it me or you guys? Half these comments seem to be related to the Cinema Tools .... not DVD SP1.5

    ....

and the comment about the $1000 addon :

um, for those in the film industry getting paid $30,000+++ for a commercial or 2million+ for movies (these are just random figures - but you get my point), don't really blink at spending $1000 on software that will make life easier for them. People people people ... just because you like your iTunes and other iApps to be free, there IS another market out there that Apple wants to sell to. This isn't aimed at the iMovie marketshare, this is aimed at the Film industry ... and next we'll have another $1000 package for compositing and such due to the Nothing Real buy out. It beats paying $10k or $50k for an editing system.

    Re: Upgrade Price

The upgrade for existing owners of the retail version of DVD Studio Pro (education purchased don't qualify) is $19.95 if you purchased it after 2/15/2002 and $199.00 if you purchased it before 2/15.

Th story was split after the official announcements came in and thus you see some apparently non-relevant comments.
