    pphhhfff

I've had it up to here with reviewers comparing the iPod feature-for-feature with the others MP3 players. The iPod's main squeeze is its size and usability. When will these people get that through their heads?

    ever notice

that these reviewers never mention the iPods use of firewire? this is the feature that really sets it apart from the rest but it's always overlooked; maybe it's just too technical for the reviewers.

    Contacts

How many other MP3 players have such a flexible OS so as to be able to update it to include a Contacts list? For that matter, how many MP3 players even have a contacts feature? Does anyone know?

For me, being a real estate broker with more than 300 active contacts, the contacts feature I upgraded my 5GB iPod to now makes it truly indispensable, beyond being merely entertaining and "cool."

    G'day, all!

    What a crock

More than I hate losing track of my "ho's", I hate to see reviews by dumb people who don't look at all the facts. This review is c***.

Check out this review of the Nomad 3:
    http://www.mp3newswire.net/stories/2002/nomad3.html

    The most notable quotes were:
“The Nomad Jukebox is the largest unit on the market weighing in at a hefty 397 gram (14 oz)” “The winner in the weight to storage ratio is again the Apple iPod at 6.5oz (185 grams), less than half that of the Nomad Jukebox.”
    “Nomad 3s girth at 4.8" x 5.12" x 1.38"
    “Apple iPod is downright petite (4" x 2.4" x 0.78").”
“The Nomad 3 is due to hit stores in April at a price of $399, the same as the Apple, which only comes with 5GB of capacity. Despite having four times more storage and a FireWire port to match the Apple, size is a crucial issue and may play against the Nomad 3. While it is certainly a competitive unit when compared with its Windows-capable brethren, it doesn't look to be an iPod killer.”

Also, it has half the skip protection. If I wanted to carry something that big, I'm by a regular CD player. Quit Apple-Hating.

    Storage

What I am sick of is how people are only comparing this to mp3 players. It also has something I have never seen in another mp3 player, which is what I use my iPod for the most, which is file storage! I have 3 different systems on my ipod I can boot off I would love to see another mp3 player that can do that!
