Apple to attend NSBA Conference

updated 05:10 pm EST, Fri March 22, 2002

Apple today announced that it will attend the National School Boards Association’s Annual Conference -- a meeting of top educators and company executives. The conference offers the latest in education technology; Apple is expected to demonstrate Mac OS X, Remote Desktop and AirPort technology. The three-day conference is scheduled for April 6-9, 2002 in New Orleans, LA; Apple will offer demos at booth 2013. Update: Apple is also scheduled to attend NAB2002, an annual gathering of media technology leaders. The company will hold booth L14400 during the April 8-11, 2002 exhibit.

    I should hope so...

I would hope Apple is at NAB, for no other reason then it's not a gathering of industry IT professionals. Its the National Association of Broadcasters. I.e. the largest video conference in the world. Yah, I would hope Apple might attend that.

    In New Orleans?

Who planned this event? Don't they realize that Louisiana has the second to worst education system in the United States? Having an education conference there is like holding an open discussion on preventing terrorism in Iraq.

Maybe it has the second worst education system because everyone that lives there is an illiterate idiot.

Can you say DVD SP 1.5

Hopefully they will release, if not at least give the release date for DVD Studio Pro 1.5. They have been showing off the 1.5 version for sometime on OS X. Many expected to hear an announcement at MacWorld Tokyo, or Seybold. Looks like NAB is now the best bet. Here's to hoping, that's my last classic App.

BTW- Nice to see that Macnn corrected their story. It originally refered to NAB as a convention for IT professionals, not Broadcast and Media professionals.
