Sonnet intros new HARMONiG3 upgrade

Sonnet has announced the its HARMONiG3 600 MHz processor upgrade/FireWire combo card, which includes a 600 MHz IBM PowerPC G3 processor, with 256K 1:1 Level 2 cache and a FireWire port for first-generation iMacs. It is due in early in the second quarter of thie year for $400.

    for those wondering...

    i got a note back from sonnet re: my question as to whether they are developing a g4 upgrade for the imac dv lines. i knew they can't comment on unannounced products, but they did tell me that there were no plans on the table for an upgrade to that series.

    darn it.

    Only rev A iMacs can be upgraded, the rest have no cpu daughtercard I believe.
