Virtix Offers SDK-Developed iMovie Effects

Virtix has unveiled Bravo and Echo, two new special effect packages that utilize the iMovie Plug-in Software Development Kit from Apple. The OS X versions of the effects packages can now position laser beams and lightning bolts, zoom up on a portion of an image, fix the broken pixels of a camera, and warp and distort images all by selecting positions in the iMovie preview window. A total of 38 effects is included in the two sets, priced at $25 individually and $40 together.

    Very cool!

    I picked this up today -- there are some plug in things I didn't even know you could do with iMovie. Some let you click in the preview window to show where an effect is going to happen. This is great with the lightning and laser effects. I'm really stunned. I thought the GeeThree transitions and effects were great. Now, with both theirs and this one, I'm really set. Amazing job!
