The new device features high-resolution still photographs (3.34 megapixels) and full-motion streaming video (320x240 pixels, 10fps). "Its readiness for connection to wireless 802.11 networks in any digital environment allows multiple cameras to be deployed and monitored simultaneously." Maybe I am off a bit...

but why would I want to burn my money on a still cam that can send choppy IP video? They really arnt the first to have a 11b cam look at :
    www.dlink.com/products/DigitalHome/DigitalVideo/dcs1000w/

They sell for like $400 for the wireless and $300 for the hardwire one.

    Oh my head,

    I think you may be...

It looks like this camera is intended primarily as a still cam, not a video cam. Whereas the DLink is the other way around. The DLink is 640 x 480 where the Ricoh is 2048x1536 (320 x 240 for motion). The DLink is its own webserver, the Ricoh can upload pages to a seperate server. I think they both have their advantages, but definitely have different markets. If I wanted a security camera in a spot that was near power, but not near cable, the DLink would be the way to go. If I wanted a Still Digital Camera with a faster than USB interface to my computer the Ricoh is a good choice. Especially with FireWire still cameras (the one's I've found at least) being in the $3000+ range.

Oh, thanks for the link to the DLink...that might be handy too. :^D
