Early morning tech news: Carlton Communications has sold its Technicolor film and video processing division to Thomson Multimedia for $2.065 billion; Brazil has suspended its tax-breaks for high-tech companies, which could mean as much as 20 percent increases in the prices of such products in that country; Bill Gates has donated $8.8 million to the International Planned Parenthood Federation; and Intel says it will have no problem adhering to Moore's Law for at least another decade, effecively making computing ten times faster than today.
