updated 12:05 pm EST, Thu March 14, 2002
Capitol Mac of Richmond, VA recently announced to employees that it will close its doors after twelve years in the Macintosh business. There will be a liquidation sale on Saturday, March 16 to clear inventory. Free hot dogs and hamburgers will be served and Macintosh memorabilia will be sold; products not sold will be put up for auction on eBay. Store representatives cite the opening of Apple's own retail outlet in McLean, VA as a cause for slowing business.
