Yark Systems in danger of folding

updated 01:05 pm EST, Sat December 9, 2000

Robert Pleasure reports that Yark Systems, makers of desktop print servers for Mac and PC, is in deep financial trouble, as a company spokesperson recently admitted. Pleasure notes that his attempts to receive a refund on a product returned within the company's 30-day money back guarantee has proved futile, as the company has admitted it will be unable to fulfill that guarantee.

    Legality

It seems to me if you file a lawsuit before the company declares bankruptcy you should be able to put a lean on the company's remaining funds should they decide to do so... Depends on how much the server costs though.

    Yarc Transputer?

Aren't these the same people who were advertising transputer cards for Amigas about 10 years ago? If I remember correctly, they kept making announcements but never delivered any product.

    Must be true

I had also heard that Yarc is in trouble. In fact I emailed them, and a Liz replied with "how did you hear this rumor". I mentioned my sources in a reply, and she never answered the question. I was a potential buyer, but forget it now.
