STAZ Software has released FutureBASIC R6, an update to its BASIC programming environment that offers performance increases as well as OS X compatibility. Release 6 provides access to all Appearance Manager buttons and implements all window types including sheets, floating windows, and windows with toolbars as well as advanced features for handling preference files and automated features that move the Quit and Preferences menu items to the application menu when a program is run under OS X. The $170 application includes 1-year of updates on CD--after which the price is $100 per year. It is also available in French, Italian, and Japanese.
