Apple mulling foray into retail in India

With the recent launch of the new iMac in India, Apple is considering opening Apple-branded retail stores in the country, according to The Financial Express: "'Presence in retail arena makes sense now as we’ve a fairly strong desktop portfolio With the induction of three new iMacs, in addition to the existing two iMacs.' Globally the retail channel, including exclusive Apple Stores, accounts for a significant portion of Apple Inc sales."

does that mean that native indian scripts for Indian languages (via some kind of apple script) is available for osX now. If it is, then I havent heard of it.
One other thing, why are macs in India so much more expensive than in the US. Surely they should be cheaper considering the relative pay-scales in the two countries. Sadly macs in India will never have a great presence, just because of the huge difference in price between local PC's and macs.
