Several readers have alerted us to a typo in Apple's Mac OS X newsletter that states the Mac OS X 10.3.1 update is available for download; it is later referred to as the 10.1.3 update, which was released last week. The newsletter is available in PDF format. [emphasis added]

    MacMinute?

Hardly. A regular reader that sometimes is amazed at what makes the "news" here.
I'm sure that info helped you though - no doubt you were in the middle of writing Apple a hate letter for not being able to DL 10.3.1. LMAO!

    Sigh...

No, no, no... even I'm amazed that someone at MacNN was bored enough to consider that a typo like this would be news. Everyone makes typos - does that qualify it for front page news? I mean, this would be like CNN reporting that Crest made a typo in a email newsletter and said 3 out of 2 dentists recommend Crest to their patients. Please.

    I would agree, but...

This isn't just a simple text error like in an email. This is a typo that has been made in Apple Garamond, in headline type, in Photoshop (or whatever program they used to create the image).

So it's not earth-shattering news. So what? Can you remember the last time Apple made a headline boo-boo? (And no, "Beyond the rumor sites. Way beyond." does NOT count! ;)

    ROTFLMAO!

MacNN really does get rather lame upon occasion... One thing I will concede, MacNN is not *hours* late posting items of importance like MacCentral always is. MacCentral is the EPITOME of lameness and sloth.

    Ho hum

More interesting question: when will MacNN put its OSX page the default? Macfixit already has.

And typos are not stories, except when spoken by dumbya presidents in Japan.
