Glucose today introduced Impasse 1.0, an application for accessing OS X's built-in firewall features. Implemented as a system preference, it automatically checks which services are running (such as Apache Web Server or Remote Login) and opens or closes firewall holes automatically as well as offers more advanced, custom firewall controls for advanced users. A 30-day demo of the software is available online. Registration is $10 for a limited time.
