Northern Softworks has released Hostal 1.1.6, which brings OS X 10.1.3 compatibility, improved DNS lookups, and other enhancements to the $7 shareware Hosts file database and editor: "A properly designed and formatted hosts file can not only help speed up the web surfing experience, but can allow simple, effective content filtering as well...[It] supports both host mapping and host blocking."
