Regular submissions for Apple's Seventh Annual Design Awards are due by April 5th, while student submissions are due by March 1st. This year's design awards, focused on Mac OS X, offer an "Ultimate" Power Mac & Apple Cinema Display for regular submissions and an "Ultimate" PowerBook to student winners in the category of "Best Mac OS X Student Product'. The Official Contest Rules have now been expanded to include a 'Best Mac OS X Open Source Port' category. The expansion also allows developers, including student developers, to enter collaborative projects. Winners will be announced at Apple's annual WWDC 2002 Conference, which takes place from May 6-10, in San Jose. (Conference details are due in late February.)
