MacNN reader "Boysimple" notes that Proteron's MaxMenus has been released to all customers who pre-ordered the system utility: "It installs as a PreferencePane in the System Preferences, and works very nicely. It is exactly the kind of utility that OS X has needed, and since it is anchored to the corner - very easy to get to." A public download, with a 2-week hassle trial, is expected to be available on Friday.
