Adobe Systems today announced a new New York-focused ad campaign, "Tools for the New Work", that will launch next week during Seybold 2002 (also in New York). The $3.25 million campaign is the first phase in its new branding initiative and will use billboards and kiosks concentrated around advertising agencies and design firms, as well as print publications catering to the professional design and advertising markets and will initially feature its InDesign 2.0 page-layout software. Adobe is also launching an InDesign 2.0 cross-grade promotion offering a $300 rebate to owners of QuarkXPress 3.x and higher who purchase InDesign. (Adobe's VP of ePaper Solutions, Joe Eschbach, will be making a keynote presentation on the evolution of Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) in the publishing arena on Thursday, February 21.)

    I'd be impressed...

If they managed to get Photoshop out the door at some point.

I'm still terribly baffled as to why they chose to release their single most important application LAST, rather the FIRST!

    But I digress...
