An Apple iTools member has made available a QuickTime version of Fox Sport's 'trip to the mall' with basketball stars Shaquille O'Neal, Sumaki Walker and Jelani McCoy. The video shows the three men and the host purchasing Apple iPods in the Mall of America. The segment was aired late last month with much reaction from the Mac community. [alternate download link]

    Why is this video not playing on Apple's web site? I cannot think of a better advertisement. Apple needs to buy this from Fox and put it up on Apple.com!!!

    i wonder if Shaqs big hands (or anyones) are a problem with the ipods buttons. He seems happy.

    Oh and a Downtown L.A. building has one side covered with an Apple "Think Different" ad with Shaq on it. its nice.

    Shaq as spokesman

    I know Apple isn't the type of company to hire a professional athlete as their spokesman, but why not? They would be the first computer company to do so, as far as I can remember (could be wrong).

    If Apple is serious about going after the "other 95%," I think they need to do something like this. I have already emailed Apple suggesting they do this. I suggest everyone else send an email to them if they feel the same way. Granted it might not make a difference, but it only takes two minutes to do.
