EGO Systems has announced the availability of a free web-mail service for Apple iTools members. IMAPple.net allows iTools members to check their Mac.com email via a web-based, IMAP-compatible interface built on the SquirrelMail email interface. IMAPple.net also provides hourly reports on the status of the Mac.com mail servers, including graphs showing uptime statistics for the current month.

    Cool

Sounds nice. I personally use POP and Entourage, but I know lots of people who prefer IMAP, and even more who want to be able to check their mail from a browser in one of the labs on campus.

    iloveapple

I use iloveapple.com usually, except it usually connects at port 443 in the browser, causing firewall bugs occasionally

    web mail

I always use www.mail2web.com for all my email accounts when I'm not at home. Easy to use with any account so far. This one looks good also. But it's only Mac.com ... Mail2Web is for any account.

    iloveapple.com

iloveapple.com is definitely one of the better sites out there, and I've been using it for months. It's a great service to the mac community.

    Not secure

Notice that this service does not have secure connections yet (https) so it's possible for someone to grab your account name and password if you use it.

    iloveapple used to SUCK

    so I quit using it.

it always had problems -- esp. if you had check e-mail from a peecee. MollyMail (what iloveapple was based on) was upgraded and therefore iloveapple improved, but still had major issues. So...

    Now I use webbox.com...

    Nice, but...

That web page design could be improved a lot. Also weird that I have to go to options just to choose how the list is sorted....

    IMAPple.com

this website has been discountinued. I checked out mail2web.com but i dislike the interface and it doesn't display some messages right. iloveapple.com seems more reliable and a bit nicer interface.
