Sig Software has released NameCleaner 2.5, its Carbonized utility for manipulating file names and types designed to help move files to and from foreign file systems. Version 2.5 includes a regular expression cleaner, full support for long file names on HFS Plus and UFS volumes, filters for preparing file names for use under Unix and a contextual menu module for OS X. Personal ($25), Network ($50), and Administrator ($100) licenses are now available. It also released Cross Platform 1.1.5, a disk catalogging tool that also "provides information about how the files on a Macintosh can be used with Windows-based computers." [NC Classic, NC Carbon]
