Apple posts special instructions for new G4s

updated 05:20 pm EST, Fri February 1, 2002

Apple has posted a Knowledge Base article for PowerMac G4 (QuickSilver 2002) owners interested in upgrading from Mac OS X v10.1.2 to Mac OS X Server 10.1. The article notes owners of 800 MHz, 933 MHz, and dual 1 GHz machines should initiate installation using the "MacOSXServerInstall.mpkg," rather than using the "Install Mac OS X Server" application.
