Freei.net releases beta of ISP service app

Kjell Stenberg noticed that Freei.net has posted a fourth beta of its ISP service software for the Macintosh.
"You've got a banner bar with ads, but it's reasonably fast and I never get the busy signal or have connection problems now with their new 2b4 release (v1.3, the current one sucks bigtime, but this new beta is holding up extremely well on my 604e 210Mhz Mac running OS 9.0.4). You can ... use IE or Netscape [and] use the Software Update Control Panel (that used to crash the computer w/ Freei.net)."
