    This is not NEW news

Both of these versions have been available for almost 2 years now. I have yet to see them work with OS 9. The download page states OS 8.6 or earlier. Too bad, as Vision was my favorite MIDI program to use. oh well. :(

SVP/DSP Runs fine in OS 9

StudioVision Pro & Vision DSP work fine on Mac OS 9! From the recent Dual Gigahertz G4's, yesterdays Dual 800 G4, iMac's & iBooks. ( Gibson made a shady deal with Opcode, fired all employees, so support has SUCKED )
There are 2 known changes in OS 9. One is the software "Protection" PACE ( www.pace.com

So, you can run the easiest to use sequencer/Audio package on earth, help troubleshooting, etc. ( Although, with OS X coming, and all of us running Vision fine.....we've mostly been off topic lately.
If you want to be up & running on this program, stop by, we'll have you up and running in no time......

This info has been available since OS 9 release.....from Opcode, and every music store, user, music retailer, and any related tech support "Help" Pages or FAQ's. Where have YOU BEEN?

The New Official Opcode support List is here:

    http://www.topica.com/lists/opcode-users/read

( Gibson took down the Official OLD one, because Henry Jerkowitz is a technical IDIOT! So, Opcode Tech support has sent all people to above list for actual help. )

I think we have 1200+ regular readers, including the original engineers who made these products, at Opcode, answer tech support too!!!!

Ah, another Vision user! In all seriousness, Gibson has a solid history of buying and wrecking good companies. Steinberg Guitars Man, they are a NIGHTMARE "New Owner".

Henry J. - we still need the Vision File format, OMS open sourced, and considering the LIABILITY when you are pushing a new standard ( Ethernet Guitar plugs???

OS 9 Fix is 2 files in V.

    Oops, partial posts???
You need the PACE Floppy enabler ( From www.pace.com or ask in Opcode users link above! Vision Infosight link not handy! )
You also require an Acadia OS 9 "Fix". SVP & V/DSP run on hundreds of Post OS 9 Mac's. Including the New DP 1 GHz G4, TiBook, iBook, & iMac. MANY DP 800/533/500/450 G4's....Pro Tools TDM rigs, to ASIO cards. Stop by the Opcode Users list for technical support!

    incomplete packages

People should understand that these are not complete packages, but only the applications themselves.

IOW, there are necessary support files that licensed users will already have that make these apps work.

People who think they can get a free MIDI sequencer/digi audio recorder are mistaken.
