Gefen ships CAT5 extenders for monitor, USB

Gefen is shipping its ex-tend-it CAT5 extenders, which employ a core USB technology that enables a single CAT5 cable to carry signals for both USB and monitor peripherals. The ex-tend-it CAT5-1000 ($700) includes a sender unit, a receiver unit, and a CAT5 cable up to 330 feet in length, allowing users to remotely connect a monitor, keyboard, mouse, and up to two USB peripherals. The ex-tend-it CAT5-5000 ($1000) supports remote connection of two monitor workstations.
