I ordered late in the first day, no confirmation.

You know, when I make a firm statement, I'm usually proven wrong soon after. If it happens this time, I won't mind.

On the UK store, my order placed yesterday is still "being reviewed"

    In the Mail!

I just received an email from Apple stating that my iMac has shipped! I did order on 1/7 late in the day. I'm thrilled, but my wife is still a little sore about the $$. Somethings are worth the pain.

    Custom configured?

Sean, did you order any changes to your iMac? I bumped the RAM up to 512Meg, I wonder if the first bunch are those that ordered the stock configuration.

    My custom not ready

Like GadgetDon, I ordered my custom (also with 512MB), and haven't yet received notice. I ordered on the day of the keynote.

I did order the standard config. I'm too cheap to have them install the addl RAM.

    Called them today

On the 9th I ordered a custom iMac (didn't want to try to upgrade the internal RAM, I can get to the one easy to get to slot), a 5 pack of DVD-R, iSub and an iPod. I didn’t expect the iMac, but the DVD-R and the iPod should have been here, as of today nothing :(

I called today, was told 3-5 days on the iPod (which is what it said when I ordered it) and about the same on the DVD-R (it said 2 days when I ordered them) and that the iMac could ship by the end of the week. No word on the iSub (they couldn’t even tell me if it will work with the new iMac’s)

Well hopefully they will all get here sometime, but not a very good first buy from the Apple Store experience for me :(
