Macromedia recently posted an OS X version of its Shockwave Player, as noted by several users. It officially support Explorer, although one reader says its also works with Netscape 6.

    Omniweb is a NO

Im using the 4.1 beta version of Omniweb and it doesn't work, but I think it may be an issue with the way Omniweb handles (or doesn't handle javascript). I've only tried shockwave out from their homepage. It looks like Omniweb hangs when it goes to open a new window to play a game. Is this helpful??? If I'm wrong could someone point me in the right direction.

    Thanks ;)

    Unstable

This has crashed IE a few times for me, trying to view various Shockwave movies. Also, none of the 3rd party extras are Carbon, so you can't view any movie that uses those xtras.

    Works in Opera 5b5.465

for Mac OS X.. since the plugin is installed into Internet Plugin folder in the Library folder not in IE's own folder though. so IE, Opera and Netscape can see it not OmniWeb, they should change the way they see the plugin.. oh well

    Works in iCabX

I just had to quit and restart, but then the plug-in was recognized and seems to work with their test pages...
