Opinion: Sonnet Fiasco: Overclocked or Not?

updated 07:50 am EST, Thu January 24, 2002

osOpinion has posted an editorial on the recent controversy over OWC's latest processor upgrades: "Late last week, an e-mail forwarded throughout the Mac community sparked an eruption of controversy as allegations of misleading marketing tactics surfaced against upgrade manufacturer Sonnet Technologies. Online Mac reseller Other World Computing (OWC) stated overtly that Sonnet was labeling its processor upgrade cards with clock speeds higher than supported by the rating of the PowerPC chip inside."
