eWeek has full Mac coverage in weekly mag

Brent Kessler writes about a Mac series in latest edition of eWeek, a weekly printed magazine geared toward IT professionals:
"I just opened up the January 21, 2002 issue of eWeek and finished reading it. To my shock, there were no less than four articles that mentioned the Mac! In a typical month I'd be shocked to see more than a single mention of Apple products in eWeek, and even that would be more of a passing reference....One had very positive comments about OS X, one was keen on the new iMac, one more had nice things to say about Virtual PC 5.0, and one tried very hard to be downbeat on Apple but gave me the opposite impression."

eWeek commentaries are showing up on ZDNet. Ehh, they are light on content, and so far lukewarm to the Mac platform. The one decrying the "innovation" of Apple trotted out the tired mantra of Apple has overpriced products without even minimal supporting info. I can understand concerns about shutting out bargain-basement price shoppers, but implying that Apple was shutting out everyone was a bit much.
