    What?

$150 for a battery charger, is that supposed to be something like the $80 cost for the emblem on Jaguars?

    maybe, but

Do you really want to lug around two chargers? I thought laptops are supposed to compact, light and portable, two chargers would mess that up. a two battery charger makes sense for power users on the go.

    2 chargers

you'd just lug 1 around and have one at home/work etc. for when you're charging both batteries for the outgoing journey. 1 Apple charger is a lot lighter than this dual one.

A dual charger is a good idea, but not at that price for an iBook one. (remember the iBook is supposed to be the consumer machine) and dual Powerbook chargers are cheaper than this.

    No Hotswap in iBook

I actually think that external battery chargers are great. The whole point is that you leave your power adapter behind (because you won't get close to an electrical outlet anyway) and bring along several fully charged batteries. Obviously, the external Battery Charger stays behind. (Duh!)

The only problem is that, unlike the PowerBooks, the iBook (Dual USB) does not allow hotswapping of batteries during sleep. You have to shut down your system, swap the battery, and start up again every time.
