What is it with MacNN and these osOpinion columns they write about. Its not like its a real magazine or pub, just people off the street writing opinions. h***, I probably could get a piece listed (OK, maybe me not, since English writing I good not at).
Of course they are just people with opinions. However, that is the same as any actual publication. Nobody knows the "correct" answers in dealings such as this. Everything is just opinions so don't discredit it. At least OSOpinion doesn't try to hide it.
Jeff.
Magazines and publishers do not write articles, people do. Whether it's a columnist or just an individual, one person's opinion is just as valid as the next person. osOpinion has been around a while now, and I'm pretty sure they don't just publish "anything" -- that's what these comments boards are for, where even you can post your opinion. :)
from the Author's Background after the article proper:
Kelly McNeill is the creator of osOpinion.com, the owner of Platypus Creations (an independent graphic design company) as well as the talent behind many of those cool graphics you see each day on OSO's home page. He appreciates comments in regard to this editorial, and hopes you'll post them to osOpinion's forums for all to see. He can also be reached at webmaster@osopinion.com.

Personally, I'd rather read this type of opinions. If you check out Apple's website links to articles published in newspapers and magazines (and their related websites), all you get is unobjective comments. I wonder how much these writers get paid to write this c***.
