    works here

Did the update, works fine here. A short while after the update the wheel stopped working, but a restart fixed that. Don't know if it's related to the new firmware, but it happened the first time.

    Good & Bad...

Well I can once again use my iPod with G3 b&ws and the menus seem more responsive than in the 1.0.3 update, however audio quality is lower than with 1.0.3 and the annoying whine has returned! Looks like I'm returning to 1.0.3 and waiting for Apple to come out with 1.0.5 which will hopefully improve audio quality again & not break compatibility with the b&ws and bring menu navigation to a crawl when a song's playing...

    More languages... yippee

More languages, just what we need Apple. Forget getting your MP3 decoder to give good quality audio or elminiate the whine that so many people are complaining about. And who needs an equalizer. Nope, what we really need is Norwegian language support... thanks.

    Just tested it

and it works fine with me... No audio problems, no whining, just plain iPod fun... :)

By the way, my wheel stopped working after the update as well... :(

But there was no need for a restart, just shook that little thingy a bit, and voila, wheel's fine again!

    Nope

I think it's more a reflection of someone paying four bills for a MP3 player with lower quality audio than a $50 Rio...
